Ahead of the 2019 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend, Sebastian Vettel became the proud father of a third child with his wife, Hanna Prater. Owing to that, the Ferrari driver stayed behind an extra day in order to be with his wife and newborn. Upon hearing the news, F1 rival and off-track friend, Lewis Hamilton congratulated the German.
It is no secret that the two share a great relationship and have a lot of respect for each other. In fact, the two drivers have even defended each other from any scathing remarks from critics.
While speaking ahead of the 2019 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend, he joked that he was ‘struggling to take care of his dogs, Roscoe and Coco‘. Hamilton also admitted to Motorsport-Magazin, that he ‘had his hands tied’ with caring for his dogs and being an uncle. So, he could not imagine being a father.

It was clear as daylight that the two are great friends, as demonstrated at the 2019 US Grand Prix. In the cool down room, Sebastian Vettel performed a classy gesture when he personally congratulated his rival.
During that race, Vettel was the first retirement of the race, following bad start, struggling to heat up his tyres and a broken rear suspension on Lap 8.
Coming back to the 2019 Abu Dhabi weekend, Sebastian Vettel finally turned up to the circuit earlier today.
Also, after the dramatic race, that was the 2019 Brazilian Grand Prix, all traces of the Ferrari collision has been banished from thought. Speaking to the media in Abu Dhabi, teammate Charles Leclerc admitted that the atmosphere in the team is great. Even though he had not seen Sebastian Vettel yet, he was sure that the morale was high.
Both Vettel and Charles Leclerc hoped to end 2019 on a high note and somehow beat Mercedes and Red Bull, but their prayers went unanswered.
