Though he became a fan attraction for UFC, he did put a target on his back every time he went into the octagon. He was able to overcome all the adversities until he faced the champion.
Kamaru Usman put on a jaw-breaking performance in UFC 245 and successfully defended his title in a highly anticipated grudge match. Though Covington put on a valiant effort it was not enough at the end as he suffered his second loss on that night.

However, Colby put up an incredible performance and took one of the best welterweights of all time, Kamaru Usman to the deep water. On one judges’ scorecard, he was even winning the fight comfortably. However, for someone as competitive as Colby a loss at this level is a tough pill to swallow and that can be seen from his reactions after the fight.
