Laver Cup 2021 has ended with yet another instance of Team Europe dominating Team World. The former, lead by Bjorn Borg, defeated the latter, lead by John McEnroe, with an extravagant score of 14-1. Roger Federer was supporting Team World, says Rublev and Zverev

The former World No. 1 Federer made a surprising visit at Laver Cup 2021. The Swiss received an outstanding standing ovation from the crowd in Boston, America. In the post-match interview, Jim Courier thanked Roger Federer for his support in Boston.

Andrey Rublev quickly interrupted and said, “I don’t know, I saw Roger was supporting Team World during our doubles!”

Federer, who has played from Team Europe three times from 2017 to 2019, was humorously accused of supporting Team World by the Russian.

Alexander Zverev joined the conversation and said, “Actually, that makes sense now because he was trying to confuse me during the singles yesterday as well. While the whole team was telling me to do one thing he was telling me to do the complete opposite. So now, I understand – smart guy over there!”

When Zverev was playing against American John Isner, Federer advised him to step into the return. On the other hand, Team Europe told Zverev to implement exactly opposite to what Federer had said.

Andrey Rublev and Alexander Zverev must be kidding, given they have previously played with Roger Federer and are aware that he will always back Team Europe.
