A captivating match between Alexander Zverev and Milos Raonic decided the outcome of the Laver Cup 2019. Federer’s home crowd were all rooting for Sascha in the spectacular match tiebreak and consequently, Team Europe lifted up the Laver Cup title for the third consecutive time. Zverev defeated Raonic 6-4, 3-6, 10-4 in the final match of the Laver Cup 2019 and Bjorn Borg’s men did it for the third time.
With Zverev failing to convert four break points in the second set and with the big server, Raonic drove the deciding match in the third set tiebreak, that multiplied the exhilaration in the house.
Earlier on Day Three, Team Europe was under pressure after Rafael Nadal pulled out from the event, then losing their doubles match and Dominic Thiem experiencing a defeat in his singles match. With Roger Federer winning over John Isner uplifted the Laver Cup excitement amongst the Geneva crowd and the Swiss maestro could keep their hopes for the title alive.

On Sunday, Team World began their day with 7-5 trail, but after two matches they led by 7-8 and 7-11. With Federer winning his match the scores were 10-11 (Team World was still leading) and then, finally, Sascha turned around the tables defeating the Team World contestant, Raonic. He settled the scores to 13-11.
After the dramatic ending Zverev said, “they were the ones that got me through that match definitely. They told me to get pumped up and this match can change my season. I’ve been losing a lot of tight matches but I’m finally getting over it and I’m happy.”
