There was a minor scare for the resurgent McLaren team with regard to their driver, Lando Norris. Apparently, the young Briton picked up a foot injury, and it could not have come at a ‘perfect’ time.The McLaren driver made the revelation on Twitch, while on one of his usual video game streams.

The good news is that Lando Norris informed his subscribers that he was fit to race. All this was in spite of the fact that he was fitted with a medical boot on his left leg.

According to a McLaren to GP Today, “Lando mildly inflamed a tendon in his left foot while out running when he was on holiday,”. Norris did not sugarcoat the severity of the injury by bluntly saying “It fricking hurts!”

Evidently though, it seems like Lando Norris will make the trip to Spa Francorchamps this weekend. This was because, he recently attended the British MotoGP Grand Prix at Silverstone. He was not the only sportsman at the Grand Prix, Racing Point driver Lance Stroll and Chelsea FC goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga were in attendance.

At that race, Lando Norris fulfilled one of his lifelong dreams when he had the chance to meet motorcycle racing legend Valentino Rossi. The 9-time MotoGP World champion finished the race in fourth behind Alex Rins, Marc Marquez and his own teammate, Maverick Vinales.

However, the MotoGP race was slightly marred by a fiery crash at the race start itself. The crash was triggered by French youngster Fabio Quartararo, who had a small highside and was flung off his Yamaha.

Behind him, Ducati rider and championship contender, Andrea Dovizioso had nowhere to go and crashed into the fallen Yamaha. Dovizioso’s bike caught fire, and the Italian rider was knocked unconscious and even suffered from brief memory loss.
