Clippers were amongst the favorites to win the NBA Championship. Led by new recruits Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, every analyst, pundit, and former player appreciated the depth of their roaster, something Lakers and Bucks definitely lack. However, things changed once they landed in the bubble.

Once the teams were inside the Orlando Bubble, they faced a few issues. Montrezl Harrell,  Patrick Beverley, and Lou Williams had to leave the bubble for personal reasons.

While the latter two came back, there were no words on Harrell. His grandmother passed away and on social media, he emphasized on how much he was suffering from the loss.

Clippers’ Montrezl Harrell is back

While Clippers already have a deep roaster, in order for them to upset the Lakers or Bucks, they would need the complete roster in perfect health. Right before playoffs, the team received positive news. Montrezl Harrell finally took to social media and announced his return to the Bubble. He posted on Twitter, “I’m back!!!!!!!!.”

However, he has to remain quarantined inside his room for four days. In an interview with Lou Williams, he asked whether his teammates provided support to him when he was quarantined for those ten days and whether he plans on doing the same for Montrezl.

William says, “We’re a tight group, so we spoke every day. We’ve spoken to Trez every day. Knock on his door, screamed at him on the other side of the door, just to make sure he’s okay or if he needs anything. Just to let him know we’re there with him.

“That’s how this group has always been,” He mentions that even when Pat was out, they would still constantly communicate with each other. And when he was gone, it was the same. He says, “Nothing is different with Trez.”

He is also asked whether it annoys Trez if they knock on his door. “No, he understands our intentions are right and we just want to check on him.”

He mentions that staying in that room for days can be rough. “You’re in an environment where you’re kind of dealing with your thoughts. We just want him to know that he’s not alone. We’re there for him.” 

The two players have also been listed as candidates for the Sixth Man of the Year.
