Kim Clijsters  has revealed her return date after withdrawing from the Australian Open 2020. In a good news for the fans of the Belgian tennis star, Clijsters has taken wildcard entries into three tournaments in march. These are the Monterrery Open in Mexico and the Indian Wells Masters and Charleston Open in USA. She announced this on her official twitter account and also thanked the fans for their support.

Where was Kim Clijsters?

Kim Clijsters retired from active tennis in the year 2012 as the Belgian was looking at extending her family. This was the second time that she had announced her retirement before she shocked the world in 2005, retiring at 23. However, in September, she announced that she was ready to make a comeback.

However, the Belgian star had been out with an MCL tear for the last seven weeks. This meant that she could not participate in the Australian Open which was being seen as a tentative return date.

How Ready Is She? 

As per her team, Kim Clijsters returned to practice last week after her knee injury. “I’m really pleased with my progress and it’s been great to get back on the court and play tennis again. It’s been a setback but has really shown me how determined I am to return to the game I love”, said Klijsters.
