The NBA season is finally starting right now with all the hype surrounding the Lakers and the Nets. But despite the beginning of the season, one person has dominated the headlines, 76ers star point guard Ben Simmons.
After one of the most criticised performances against the Atlanta Hawks, Simmons’ off-season has been eventful to say the least. Denying to participating in the Olympics, the 6’8″ guard was supposedly putting the work in, but a trade meanwhile looked imminent as he denied participation in training camp and pre-season.
But the saga took a weird turn as he returned to Philly ahead of a pre-season game. He even participated in a training session with the team, raising hopes of a possible reconciliation.

Ben Simmons’ thrown out of 76ers practice
While 76ers fans were hopeful that a possible solution to this Simmons’ trade saga was on the cards with things trending in the right direction, it seems all of it has come to a screeching halt with the latest development.
According to NBA insider Sham Charania, the 3-time All-Star has been suspended for Philly’s season opener against the Pelicans for conduct detrimental to the team and the organization.

This is certainly a massive development considering how good things looked for 76ers recently. Another NBA insider, Adrian Wojnarowski, provided some more clarity to the matter. In a recent tweet, Woj revealed that head coach Doc Rivers reportedly threw out Simmons of the practice session held today.

Given how severe the latest reports look, we might be seeing the end of the Australian’s time on the team. With his relationship with Doc Rivers taking a sour turn, Simmons might not see any game-time whatsoever.
