Jorge Masvidal steps into the octagon in Madison Square Garden this Saturday to take on Nate Diaz. In the most anticipated fight of the year, Diaz and Masvidal will fight for the first ever BMF title.

This fight has all the fans on the edge of their seats. Both fighters are phenomenal strikers. While Jorge Masvidal has solid ground game and takedown defense, Nate Diaz is one of the best grapplers in UFC. More importantly both Diaz and Masvidal like to scrap. However, Masvidal is not looking for a gruelling 5 round fight. Masvidal is going for the Off button from the get go.

During the open workout media scrum, Jorge Masvidal reveals his game plan for his opponent and said:

“I got a lot of tools in the toolset. I would not mind displaying all of them, I would not mind to fight quick. My mind is not set on any particular technique. It’s just if it happens on the first or on 5th, it’s just to finish him, it’s the only thing on my mind.”

Notorious for his devastating flying knee knockout against Ben Askren, Jorge Masvidal is planning something similar for Diaz too. Masvidal added:

“I am here to do the same thing that is damage, that is to turn the off button, make him shot circuit, put him in outer orbit. Cause it’s really for me, my family and my legacy and the only way to separate myself from the pack is to send these people to another dimension. There is one way to do that.”

Knocking out Nate Diaz is easier said than done. One thing that is obvious from Diaz’s fights over his career is, he keeps coming forward irrespective of anything his opponents have to offer. However, Masvidal seems confident that he will knock out Diaz in the fight.

“I am there to hurt every second of every minute of the round. If he survives what I got to give him, my hats off to him. But there is a dog in me and when the dog gets tired it’s only gonna keep biting him. I am not gonna take a step back from nobody.” said Masvidal.

Well, it is hard to predict who wins this fight considering how good Diaz and Masvidal are, but one thing can be assured that this fight is going to be one for the ages.
