Colby Covington fell short in his attempt at capturing the undisputed UFC title. He suffered a tough loss and a broken jaw in the hands of Kamaru Usman at UFC 245. Now that he is down, every rival he made on his way up is making sure to give Colby a taste of his treatment including his former best friend, Jorge Masvidal.
The BMF has been very vocal about his feelings after Covington’s recent loss. He has even stated that Colby Covington deserves all the punishment he got from Usman and more. Recently, Masvidal took another cheap shot at Colby Covington while having a verbal feud with the king of cringe, Henry Cejudo.

Cejudo relinquished his flyweight title and was inactive in the second half of the year. However, he has done some phenomenal things this year, defending his flyweight title against TJ Dillashaw and capturing the bantamweight title by defeating Marlon Moraes. Hence Cejudo took it to twitter to claim himself the Best Fighter of the Year and the BMF. Cejudo said:
“Take I good look at this man, because in a few days I’ll be the 2019 Fighter of the year! Saved an entire division in 32sec. Won a second world title. I am the Baddest Mother F@cker EVER!”
The real BMF was quick to respond to Cejudo as he said:

Jorge Masvidal Takes a Cheap Shot at Colby Covington
The war did not end there as Cejudo reminded Masvidal of his decorated resume. Cejudo came back with:
“That’s more like Juan on Juan. I’m 1 of 1. Olympic Champ, flyweight champ and bantamweight champ. – Triple C.”
Well, it was this time when Masvidal reminded Cejudo what happened to Colby Covington after he trash-talked anyone and everyone who came in his way. Masvidal stated:
“Does anyone other than the dude that got his jaw broken speak cringe? #AskingForAFriend“

Related: Fighter of the year argument
As the year is about to end there have been some arguments on who the fighter of the year is and both Masvidal and Cejudo have a solid chance to win the title. Masvidal has beaten Ben Askren, Darren Till, and ended up being the BMF by beating Nate Diaz in the biggest fight of this year. On the other hand, Cejudo saved an entire division from being cut from UFC and became a two-division champion. However, there is another contender for this title who has done equally phenomenal things, that is Israel Adesanya. While the fans are split between these three athletes in the fighter of the year discussion, it would be intriguing to see who comes out as the winner.
