Wedding bells are ringing loud for Simone Biles following her adorable proposal earlier this week. Notably, Simone Biles got engaged to boyfriend Jonathan Owens on the occasion of valentine’s this year.

Simone Biles was taken aback when Jonathan Owens went down on his knees and proposed to her. The young athlete had no idea that Owens was planning something so big.

In a recent interview, Jonathan revealed the amount of planning that he had to do for the proposal. He revealed all the intricate details, from seeking permission from Biles’ parents to choosing the luxurious ring.

A lot of planning for the one perfect moment

Valentine’s Day 2022 was just another normal day for Simone Biles. In fact, the champion gymnast had nothing special in mind and was just going about her day.

She had no idea that Owens was meanwhile planning the most beautiful proposal for her. Now, Jonathan Owens reveals the details of the proposal and the hard work behind it.

Owens said that it took two and a half months of planning. He started talking to the jeweler in early December last year.

“So it was a lot of planning, probably took about two and a half months. I kind of started talking to the jeweler in early December,” revealed Owens.

Owens even made sure he sought permission from Simone’s parents before proposing to her.

“I was a little nervous at first and for the longest Simone was sitting right next to us so I couldn?t really say what I wanted then she left. I was like I got the cue.”

Simone Biles’ most prized possession

After Simone Biles’ proposal, all eyes were on Biles’ gorgeous engagement ring. It is a diamond oval-shaped ring, which perfectly fits on Biles’ hand.

Overjoyed, Biles revealed that the ring is currently her most prized possession, even bigger than her gold medals. Frost and Co. founder ZoFrost, designed the beautiful ring.

“It’s definitely my most prized possession right now and I?m always wearing it. It definitely beats a Gold Medal,” said the 7-time Olympic Medalist.

The designer ZoFrost has revealed that Jonathan himself picked the diamond for the ring. As the wedding preparations begin, the couple cannot wait to tie the knot now. Notably, Biles and Owens are also building their dream house together.
