In WWE, he was known as Dean Ambrose. He made his debut at Survivor Series 2012 as a member of The Shield with Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns.
Ambrose became a grand slam champion in the WWE. He won every title available at that time. Even with so many title reigns, his shield brothers were given more importance than the lunatic fringe.
Ambrose didn’t get multiple title reigns. The rivalries he had, Ambrose would mostly end up on the losing side. Many of his intercontinental title defenses were on pre-shows of PPV’s.
WWE just never saw him as they saw Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. Due to lack of great storylines and opportunities, Ambrose left WWE for AEW, even after being offered a huge contract.
It obviously paid off as he is currently the AEW world heavyweight champion. His reign is currently at 111 days and counting.
Even though Moxley is a lunatic champion in the ring, outside of it he is a caring and responsible human being.
Tony Khan appreciates Jon Moxley being a great champion in and outside the ring
The champion prefers to live a minimalist lifestyle. He doesn’t believe in living the lavish life which professional wrestlers usually live.
Upon signing with WWE, the company had given him some merchandise.
The lunatic fringe then auctioned all his merchandise and donated the money earned to charity. He has social media profiles but doesn’t use them much as the AEW world champ likes a low profile life.
Whether helping someone or doing charity, the dude follows a people-first approach. AEW President believes the same.

Here is the tweet of Tony Khan.
Jon Moxley can get slammed on a car, crawl through tacks & fall through the stage, but it’s every bit as cool that he came forward & told us he’d had secondhand exposure to COVID. We test everyone here at #AEWDynamite, but Jon protected everyone onsite like the great champ he is
