On 60 Minutes By CBS, Rafael Nadal was asked many questions. One of those questions was regarding how he describes his relationship with Roger Federer. He was asked whether he describes him as a rival, a friend, or a colleague. Rafa replied to this question by saying,

“I think it’s a little bit of everything. We’ve had a very intense rivalry throughout our careers, but it’s been a very healthy rivalry. An elegant, respectful rivalry. We have also reached a stage in our lives where we are able to appreciate that it’s not just about winning.”

Currently, Rafa is leading the head-to-head 24-16 which is quite a large difference. But the Swiss Maestro has won 6 of their last 7 meetings. He will surely try to make up the difference by winning the next few matches that they will play.

Sadly, the 2 legends of tennis are not going to be meeting anytime soon. This is because Federer ended his 2020 season as he failed to recover from a knee surgery he underwent at the start of the year. He had to undergo another one and he wants to be at his best at the start of 2021.

Every single tennis fan will be waiting to see him play in 2021 and they will also be hoping that they will see him play Nadal in the 41st chapter of their amazing rivalry.

The Spaniard will certainly want this as he is out for revenge. He lost their last meeting at the 2019 Wimbledon and he will be looking to score another victory. Hopefully, he will be able to do it in 2021.
