While being under the limelight is satisfying, it comes with its own repercussions. Olympic champion Suni Lee has been the center of attraction ever since her 2020 Tokyo Olympics victory.

Exploring her ways after the Olympics, Lee took part in the reality show ‘Dancing with the Stars.’ Despite a shaky start, she did not lose hope and kept on giving her best, becoming a fan favorite eventually.

However, Lee and her partner, Sasha, were recently eliminated at the end of this season’s semi-finals. After last week?s breakthrough performance, it was quite unexpected to see the pair bow out of the show.

On Monday night, scoring 37 out of 40, the duo ended their journey in DWTS Season 30. Being one of the strongest and deserving contenders, they made it to the semi-finals, overcoming several obstacles along the way.

Even though Lee wasn’t in good health, she did not give up and continued to perform to the best of her ability. Hence, it’s disheartening to see the duo leave the show, despite putting their best foot forward.

Speaking on her exit from the show, Suni said, ?I feel like I really had a breakthrough these past couple of weeks and I had my best two dances tonight which is one of the reasons why it sucks to go home.??

Even though Lee could not make it to the finals, she feels she has finally found something she loves to do outside of gymnastics.

?Obviously, we didn’t make it to the finale, but I feel like I finally found myself and I’m more confident in myself and that was the main goal to come on this show,” she added.

While it is unexpected and disappointing for the star to not reach the finals, Suni acknowledges her journey and the wonderful time she had on the show.

DWTS helped Lee find herself

Competing at the highest level is tiring, yet exhilarating. Doing gymnastics for over 12 years now, Lee felt like she was losing herself, having dedicated so much of her life to the sport. Hence, DWTS gave her a chance to explore her other interest, paving the way for her in a whole new field.

Even though her journey in the show ended, she treasured the things she learned about herself. Going out of her comfort zone, she realized her potential and also discovered new traits within herself.

?I feel like I’ve learned that I’m definitely more mature. Like I’m really responsible and mature and make sure that I do everything that I’m supposed to do and then having to take time for myself as well,? the athlete said.

Undoubtedly, fans will miss watching Suni’s breathtaking moves on the show. However, with this journey having ended now, where do you think Suni will be seen next?
