Two-sport World Champion Jonathan Haggerty views his upcoming opponent, current ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion Superlek Kiatmoo9, as both a formidable adversary and a driving force behind his training. Haggerty finds Superlek’s exceptional skills admirable as they prepare to collide for the ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Title at ONE 168: Denver on September 6 at the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado. This marks the promotion’s second event in the United States.

In an interview with ONE Championship, Jonathan Haggerty revealed that Superlek, whom he considers one of the pound-for-pound greats, is his primary training motivation. Haggerty stated, “Superlek is one of the greatest fighters of this time. It motivates me more to get up and train.” This statement came after the Thai champ recently described Haggerty as one of the best fighters.

The pair recently made a special appearance on ONE Friday Fights 72 as they intensified their rivalry with face-off. The video uploaded by ONE Championship on Instagram captured the moment when the two fighters clashed heads but still exchanged kind words about each other.
