The tenth edition of Indian Premier League put its first step forward on Monday morning, as owners from all eight IPL teams engaged in an extensive bidding war to form a best possible team combination to make a shot at the prestigious title.
England pacemen Ben Stokes and Tymal Mills as expected, were the show stoppers as both the players were sold for a whopping sum of Rs 14.5 Cr and Rs 12 Cr respectively. Rising Pune Supergiants bought Stokes, making him the most expensive IPL player ever. On the other hand, Mills was seen to replace Starc for RCB.?Kagiso Rabada (5 Cr)and Trent Boult (4.5 Cr) were the other big overseas gainers. Karn Sharma was the biggest buy from India with Rs 3.2 crore.
