After the list of released and retained players of all the franchises have come out, the countdown for the upcoming 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction has started which will take place in December. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have released as many as 12 players from their previous squad. However, they decided to retain 13 players which included wicketkeeper-batsman Parthiv Patel.

This move from Royal Challengers Bangalore was unexpected and their decision of retaining the veteran India wicketkeeper-batsman Parthiv Patel made many surprised at the same time. However, along with him, AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli have also been retained for the IPL 2020. Meanwhile, former Australian cricketer and commentator Dean Jones was also surprised by the RCB’s move.

However, he got a fitting reply from Parthiv in no time, as he was pretty quick to reply to the jibe by the Australian on Twitter. Parthiv replied: “So that u can be at peace during ipl in #selectdugout”
