The IPL 2020 edition is around the corner. IPL is one of the biggest T20 leagues around the globe not only because of the players but also because of the huge people gathered in the IPL matches. Amidst all this, BCCI is likely to host the final of IPL 2020 in the Motera Stadium of Ahmedabad. The stadium has a capacity of 1,10,000 people and the stadium is nearly ready to host the final for the first time.

Ahmedabad is ready to host the IPL 2020 Final

The Motera Stadium is one of the oldest cricket stadiums. However, the state association officials decided to reconstruct the stadium 5 years ago. Their goal was to build the stadium as the world’s biggest stadium in India. Hence, they thought to plan a stadium which could have nearly 1,10,000 spectators. BCCI has been planning to host a big match between the World XI and India to inaugurate the venue. Apart from this, the biggest stadium will host the IPL 2020 final as well, according to the news.

During a Question and Answers session on Sports Tak, a fan asked the question about the Ahmedabad stadium. While answering to that question, host Vikrant Gupta said, “Let me tell you one thing, the final of the upcoming IPL season will be played in Ahmedabad. Although we do not know the official dates for the match but the IPL 2020 final will be most likely played in that stadium having 1,10,000 seating capacity.”

IPL 2020 schedule is yet to come. But the fans can keep that in mind that they can see the final at that venue because of its high revenue-generating capacity. Since India is a cricket-loving country, everyone can expect Ahmedabad to break the record for the most people attended in a T20 match in the world if it will get the chance to host the upcoming final.
