Former World No. 1 Boris Becker has denied all the allegations against him. It seems like the six-time Grand Slam winner is up for a legal battle in court. The former tennis player has pleaded ‘not guilty’ in court to the string of charges leveled against him.
“Innocent until proven guilty! I believe in the UK legal system and its agents! My team will prove my innocence in due course!!!” wrote the 52-year-old Becker on Twitter.

Criminal Charges against Boris Becker
Becker, who currently resides in London, is undergoing a trial at the High Court in London. He pleaded ‘not guilty’ to all 19 charges revolving around his failure to reveal money and property in 2017. He denied the charges of concealing property from the receiver and also of removing the property without delivering it to the receiver.
“I deny all allegations against myself and will defend myself with all the legal means!” said in his Becker in his tweet.

About four of the allegations said that he did not reveal the details of his estate. Another allegation touched upon the failure to disclose the disposal of one of his properties. There is also another charge that said that he even concealed debt.
Reports emerged last year that Becker was trying to sell-off his medals and trophies to pay the bankruptcy debt. He even organized an auction for the same.
Though Becker sounded confident on Twitter, the final verdict depends on how the court proceedings go. As of now, Becker, who is a part of the Tennis Hall of Fame, has been granted bail. The next hearing has been scheduled for October 22, 2020.
