On Wednesday, Felix Auger-Aliassime announced sad news by pulling out from Vienna Open 2019 due to a left ankle injury and now, the young Canadian has also withdrawn from the last two tournaments of the ATP Tour.
“After talking with my team and doctors, we concluded that I wouldn’t be able to compete in the last two tournaments of the season. I’m sorry I can’t take part in the Rolex Paris Masters and the NextGen ATP Finals in Milan which are important encounters with the fans. I’m planning to be fit and get ready for Davis Cup Finals in November. Thank you all for understanding. See you soon!” Felix Auger-Aliassime announced on social media.
The 19-year-old, Felix Auger-Aliassime had a career-best season this year. He reached three finals on the ATP circuit in the 2019 season. He made it to finals at Rio, Lyon, and Stuttgart, but he is yet to open his ATP title account.

His first-ever Grand Slam victory came at Wimbledon 2019 against his countryman Vasek Pospisil. Previously, World Number 18, Auger-Aliassime was compelled to withdraw from the French Open 2019 due to a groin injury that took place during the finals in Lyon against Benoit Paire.
Previous at Shanghai Rolex Masters 2019, Auger-Aliassime lost to Stefanos Tsitsipas in the two tough sets. World Number seven, Tsitsipas finally claimed his first victory over the young Canadian after falling to him twice this year at Indian Wells Masters and Queens’ Club.

At Davis Cup, the Canadians have a strong line-up which includes, Milos Raonic, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Denis Shapovalov, and Vasek Pospisil. Two North American nations, Canada and USA are placed under the same group. They will compete against each other and against team Italy to reserve a place in the quarterfinals of Davis Cup Finals 2019 in Madrid, Spain.
