The Indiana Pacers have been relatively quiet in the 2020 offseason. They didn’t make any huge transactions that will stand out and their team pretty much looks the same as last year.
However, one huge change for them was firing head coach Nate McMillan, who was at the helm of the franchise for four years. But looking back at this playoff record, the franchise decided to sack him.

To replace McMillan, the franchise went ahead with Nate Bjorkgren, hoping to have a better season. But will he succeed? We will find out when the season is underway.
Indiana Pacers transactions: Players signed via trades and free agency
The Pacers didn’t make any noise in the free agency market, and their biggest signing for this year was Justin Holiday. The 31-year-old was handed a 3-year $18.02 Million deal following his impressive last season. Apart from Justin, the Pacers signed JaKarr Sampson and Naz Mitrou-Long on minimum deals to improve the depth on their roster.
Although the Pacers didn’t have any major signings in the offseason, they recently made a huge move. It was already a well-known fact that their star guard Victor Oladipo was anxious to the leave the team, the organization went ahead and traded him for former Nets guard Caris LeVert.

Speaking of trades, the team traded away TJ Leaf along with a 2027 2nd round pick for OKC’s Jalen Lecque. This pretty much sums up the signing and trade department for the Pacers in the 2020 offseason.
Players lost
The Pacers finally parted ways with their star guard Victor Oladipo as a part of a humongous 4-team trade. With Oladipo gone, it will be exciting to see how Caris LeVert fits into the roster. Additionally, the team did go through changes in the coaching department by firing Nate McMillan.
All things considered, Oladipo might sign for a bigger deal if the team has a phenomenal season this year. Otherwise, there is a good chance that the trade rumors can turn into reality.
