Indian speedster Ishant Sharma left the visitors, Bangladesh struggling in the middle by picking up a five-wicket haul in the first innings of the ongoing first-ever pink-ball Test played at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The rest of the 5 wickets were taken by other pacers – Mohammed Shami and Umesh Yadav. However, their outstanding contribution helped India to bundle out Bangladesh within 106 runs on the very first day.
Ishant Sharma finished with the figures of 5/22 in the second session of the second Test. This was, however, his second five-wicket haul in India which came after a long period of 12 years.
During the press conference, Ishant Sharma spoke about his bowling. Meanwhile, he was also asked a funny question which he gave a hilarious response. His reply left everyone in the room laughing out loud. A journalist was seen asking him if the ball was visible during the night and evening session or not? While replying, Ishant Sharma said, ?Yes, sir. When the lights are on, you can see the ball.”

He further talked about his current form and the hard work as well which is finally paying off after a long time.
“I am enjoying my cricket right now. I used to put a lot of pressure on myself before. Earlier I used to think that I am beating the batsmen but still not taking wickets. Now I don’t think all that. All I tell myself is that I have to take wickets. Obviously, I have the experience and so I need to adjust to the conditions as soon as possible,” Ishant Sharma concluded.
As far as the game is concerned, India have been dominating in the Test from Day 1. Currently, they need 3 wickets to win the game. On the other hand,?Mushfiqur Rahim is single-handedly anchoring Bangladesh’s innings, playing at 74* in the middle where they put up 184 for 7.
