Bangladesh beat India by seven wickets in the opening Twenty20 International match of the three-match series at the Arun Jaitley stadium in Delhi on Sunday. The game was in the news for many reasons and one of them was definitely the weather of Delhi as?air quality deteriorated to hazardous levels.?However, after the match, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president, Sourav Ganguly, took to Twitter and thanked both teams for playing amid the air pollution in Delhi.

Earlier, in the game, Bangladesh won the toss and put India to bat. Bangladesh showed a great performance from the beginning as they dismissed India captain?Rohit Sharma?for nine in the very first over. While playing his second T20I,?19-year-old Aminul Islam, dismantled the Indian middle-order as he finished with a figure of two for 22 in three overs. Not only the youngster, but the other bowlers also did well.
For India, opener Shikhar Dhawan was looking in good touch but ended at 41. India posted 148 for six in their allotted 20 overs on the back of a couple of big shots from the tail-enders.
Like India, Bangladesh too lost their opener Liton Das in the very first over as Deepak Chahar dismissed him for seven.?Soumya Sarkar and debutant Mohammed Naim then added 46 runs for the second wicket but it was Mushfiqur Rahim who snatched the game away from India. His unbeaten knock of 60 certainly helped the visitors to chase down the target with three balls to spare. He hit a couple of boundaries off Khaleel Ahmed in the penultimate over which certainly turned the table for them.

With this win, Bangladesh took a lead of 1-0 in the three-match T20I series against India. The second T20I will take place in Rajkot on Thursday.
