India have announced the ODI and T20I squad for the upcoming West Indies series on Thursday. Veteran pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar has returned to the Indian teams in both the formats, while all-rounder Shivam Dube has retained his place in the T20 squad alongside earned his maiden call-up in the ODI.?The notable exclusion is Sanju Samson, who was named in the squad for the last series as the specialist batsman had to sit out for the whole series.
Kerala wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson once again faced the axe which left everyone surprised and the cricketer himself was left speechless as well. The 25-year-old player took to Twitter on Friday (November 22) and posted an emoji instead of writing any text there.

Sanju Samson was excluded as captain Virat Kohli has returned to the T20I squad after missing the Bangladesh T20I series. The selectors once again backed out-of-form Rishabh Pant for the duties behind the stumps.

Samson did not get a single game to play in the Bangladesh T20I series. However, he played?in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for Kerala and scored 112 runs from four games. He played his last and only T20I game for India way back in 2015 against Zimbabwe where he had scored 19 off 24 balls.
India will play three Twenty20 Internationals against the Windies, starting in Mumbai on December 6 followed by two matches in Thiruvananthapuram (December 8) and Hyderabad (December 11) respectively. Following that, the three ODIs will be played in Chennai (December 15), Visakhapatnam (December 18) and Cuttack (December 22).
