Max Verstappen stole the show at the Austrian GP after a slow start, to clinch the title in spectacular fashion. A race that was thrilling from the start to the finish, was much more eventful than any of the races that have transpired in the season so far. Despite all the drama every single driver managed to finish the race.
While Charles leclerc and Valetteri Bottas grabbed the remaining podium finishes, Lewis Hamilton was left behind at fifth. “Fifth place, take the points and move on”, said Lewis Hamilton after the race. “The tyres were a massive issue, we had the pace but we just couldn’t race”, he added.
A first victory for Red Bull since 2006 was celebrated in Grand fashion by Max Verstappen’s followers in Netherlands. The crowd, as seen in the video goes wild and starts to bounce in unison at the Ziggo dome, where the match was being streamed live.
