Recently, Novak Djokovic was heavily criticized for his behavior during the Adria Tennis Tour. Even though it was great that he pulled off a tennis event amidst all the fears regarding the pandemic, the lax attitude towards social distancing regulations is being called into question.
The latest tennis player to criticize Novak is Dutch tennis star Kiki Bertens. She highlighted the magnitude of the situation and wanted tennis players to take responsibility. Notably, big names like Alexander Zverev, Dominic Thiem, and Grigor Dimitrov took part in the event.
However, players were routinely seen coming in physical contact by hugging each other and shaking hands. This is what was not liked by Bertens. She talked to Eurosport about her displeasure.
