As the qualifications for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics have already begun, Shaun White remains disappointed with his 8th place finish. Notably, White is the most experienced player in the trails, with 3 Olympic Gold medals to his name.
However, he finished in 8th place during the season’s first round of qualifications. This means that he will have to wait one more week for another shot at making it to the Olympic team.

Following his loss, White took to Twitter to express his disappointment with his performance, while looking forward to next week to wrap things up.
Two more chances for White to qualify
White has been preparing for his fourth Olympic gold medal for a long time now. Despite being the most experienced player, his performance was not up to the mark.
The athlete expressed his disappointment through Twitter, along with a few pictures of his performance.
“I’m disappointed by my performance this weekend at the Copper Grand Prix finals. Sometimes things don’t click,” tweeted the snowboarder.

With a positive outlook, White was glad for completing the round uninjured and appreciated his team for their constant support.
“The initial frustration has turned into an appreciation. I’m thankful to be uninjured, my team’s support, and two more opportunities to make the Olympic team,” White added.
Although the athlete did not make it to the Olympic team in the first go, he keeps his head high and begins his preparations for next week now. With two more chances to qualify, White is confident about his victory.

Being an athlete of top quality and performing at the highest level is not an easy task. Despite facing difficulties, athletes like Shaun White never give up. Through an interview, the athlete spoke about having the right motivation to keep going forward and do what he does best.

“Will this be my last Games? I don’t know. I always say it might be just because that’s how it feels and then… I’m thinking, ‘Gosh, I feel pretty good. I’m motivated, I’m excited,” said the iconic skateboarder, White.

The legendary snowboarder not just excels in sports but deals with other hurdles too, triumphantly. As the next round of qualifiers is a week away now, it will be interesting to see whether White makes it or not. Hence, a nail-biting week awaits.
