Stan Wawrinka believes that Novak Djokovic will prevail over Rafael Nadal to finish at the top by the end of 2020. However, he clarified that it’s a hard choice. Overall, he believes that Novak, Roger and Rafa will again fight for the most significant titles. It will be extremely tough to beat them in big-ticket matches.
However, he added that Daniil Medvedev, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Dominic Thiem are the future.

WHAT DID WAWARINKA SAY ABOUT NOVAK DJOKOVIC?
Wawrinka was full of praise for the World number 2. “Novak is the champion and an incredible person. We have known each other for years and we are good friends. We played against each other many times and he is a lovely person on and off the court”, said Wawrinka.
He added that he finds Novak’s achievements unbelievable.

HOW HAS THE YEAR BEEN FOR STAN?
Stan Wawrinka made an early exit at the Diriyah Tennis Cup in Saudi Arabia. However, the Swiss star will be happy with how the year 2019 has been for him. He surpassed 50 rivals on the ATP ranking list and ended in the top 20. This was the eighth time that he achieved this feat in the last nine years.
Wawrinka had to endure a lot of obstacles including poor form and a knee injury that required surgeries. He was ranked outside the top-250 in June last year.
