Streamers and content creators are a fairly new phenomenon in life. Competitive gaming, or eSports, has been around for much longer than content creation. Soon, professional gamers realized that once they’d exhausted their competitive spirit, they could always turn to streaming. They became a true form of entertainment in the last decade with the rise of personalities like Ninja and PewDiePie. Soon came along others like summit1g, shroud, and a plethora of other streamers. Fast forward to the present and with the technological advancements we get with each passing day, streamers are very much mainstream.
When you talk about mainstream streamers, there is one name that will always pop right up, Richard Tyler “Ninja” Blevins. Ninja too started off as a competitive gamer (Halo 3). Having retired from pro gaming, he took up streaming. While fairly popular, he was still one among a thousand others hoping to truly make a full-fledged career out of it.
And along came Fortnite, and everything changed. Ninja took up Epic Games’ Battle Royale title in 2017, and before you knew it, both parties had exploded in popularity. By early 2018, Ninja was the biggest streamer on the planet and Fortnite the most popular game around. Today, Ninja makes millions of dollars just through streaming.

Ninja makes his Case as a Human
Ninja is a vibrant personality who does not hold back on his emotions even with thousands of people watching him. Every now and then he does make foolish, insensitive comments that are nowhere in line with the reality of an everyday person. Does that mean he is an entitled, spoiled man? Maybe.
You’ve probably heard his infamous quote, “It’s just a game is such a weak mindset.”
People have hounded him with “it’s just a game” ever since.
Every so often, you’ll see him screaming in frustration and anger. Losing usually has that effect on him. Many call him out for such behavior because they believe he has nothing to complain about if he is making millions for playing games. But doesn’t it all just mean one thing? he is human too.
Don’t we all scream in frustration, occasionally if not always, when we lose? The only difference is, millions watch him when he acts out while nobody watches the rest of us.
That is exactly what he recently ranted about too.
Clearly agitated, Ninja was screaming, asserting he was only human like the rest of us. “If you cut me, I bleed”, he concludes.
Important message from @Ninja
Gaming aside yall need to understand that the content creators you watch are just people. pic.twitter.com/yjWxoI9ycU

Many hate him for his rants and his behavior, but we cannot deny it entertains us all nonetheless. If it is so unbearable, why not simply switch off, or better yet, switch to some other streamer? There’s plenty out there who are calmness personified even in times of great frustration.
I’ll point you towards shroud if you’re looking for someone like that.
