Team India is set to face Australia in their second match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. India is coming off after a comfortable victory over South Africa on June 5. While Australia won a tensed match against West Indies in their last match at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.

Australia was in a tough situation when they lost their four wickets in just 38 runs. Australia’s strong top order failed heavily against the Caribbeans. It looked like the Australians would manage to score not more than 200 when they were 79 for 6.

However, the lower middle order did the job for Australia as they supported the Australian Captain, Steve Smith. Nathan Coulter-Nile scored 92 crucial runs in just 60 balls.

West Indies missed the trick when they didn’t bring their strike bowler against the new batsmen when they took the first 5 wickets under 100. The Windies brought their strike bowler Andre Russell into the attack when the two batsmen settled down on the crease.

The Cricket pundits suggested that the match between India and Australia on June 9 at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 will be a litmus test for both the teams as the two teams are one of the two favorites of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.

Rohan Gavaskar feels that India will make the same mistakes that the West Indies made in their last game, allowing the Australians to come back into the match. He said, “Australia got a wake-up call from the West Indies. The Indians won’t make the same mistakes that the West Indies made against Australia’s when it comes to the lower order as far as the Australians are concerned. If India can get down Australia 3 or 4 quickly, that might be the trick.”

While Gaurav Kalra suggested that India should aim to take the early wickets with the help of Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar as the Australians are the best team play against the waist spinners amongst all the teams at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
