ICC Cricket World Cup 2019: A Look Back at Previous Encounters Between India and Pakistan

The most awaited match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 match is upon us as India faces arch-rivals Pakistan in a high-voltage match at Old Trafford, Manchester on Sunday.

The two teams will meet each other for the 128th time in the ODIs with Pakistan leading their head-to-head 73-54. However, India leads the head-to-head against the ‘Green Army’ at the ICC Cricket World Cup with a perfect record of 6-0.

India won the match by 39 runs after putting a score of 287 runs in 50 overs, losing 8 wickets before stopping Pakistan at 248 runs.

Navjot Sidhu played the anchoring role as he opened the innings for India and scores 93 valuable runs for his team. Ajay Jadeja’s 45 off just 25 balls cameo was the cherry on the cake. India won the third consecutive match against Pakistan at the ICC Cricket World Cup as they defeated their arch-rivals by 49 runs. India scored 227 runs losing 6 wickets in 50 overs. Pakistan, in reply, could manage to score only 180 runs as they were bowled out in 45.4 overs.
