Recently, Alessandra Scutnik, a fitness coach, gained attention for her remarkable fitness journey. The mother of two shared a video of her acute workout sessions during her pregnancy. People started reacting to her drill. The opinion for Scutnik’s sessions falls on both sides of the spectrum. For some, it’s an incredible thing to achieve, while others were concerned about the child’s health.

Scutnik’s transformation video was shared by a fitness page on Instagram called GymTears. In this clip, the woman is showing her results postpartum. She shared the point of view of never stopping lifting heavy weights; she did so for better results after giving birth to her second child.

However, GymTears shared this post with a caption. According to them, doing core exercises during pregnancy is essential. People who claim that this is unsafe rely on old information. They also added, “This isn’t about “having abs” it’s about being a well-functioning mom and human to do the daily things you need to do with ease‼️”

Further, the caption described the importance of lifting weights; it claimed that there’s no research that showed this is harmful to babies or moms. According to the post, postpartum recovery depends on various aspects like birth experience and so on. But this can be improved by taking control during pregnancy and postpartum. However, this opinion supporting intense exercise during pregnancy did not seem acceptable to the crowd on the internet.

The comments section of the post was flooded with negativity. Many were against Scutnik doing such exercises. One person showed their concern by saying, “I wonder if it is dangerous.” Another person wrote, “Why ppl act like przegnancy and being postpartum is something weird and ugly and we can’t look like postpartum while we are postpartum wtf.”

Another wrote that they felt sad seeing this and didn’t want to look further. One person supported her decision and said that those who were used to intense workouts could continue doing it. One recommended that they are unsure if lifting heavy weights is good for the baby. They added, “Seems you are worried only about you. This doesn’t seem healthy for the baby. Not a brag.”
