Serbian star Novak Djokovic started his exhibition series called the ‘Adria Tour’. This series was definitely enjoyed by tennis fans but it had negative effects on a lot of people. Grigor Dimitrov and Borna Coric who played the event tested positive for the coronavirus. It is because of this that everyone who played the event had to get tested. Alexander Zverev was one of them and he has given some good news along with an apology. Check it out.

Alexander Zverev Tests Negative

In a recent tweet, Alexander Zverev revealed that he tested negative for the coronavirus that has affected the entire world. In addition to that, he issued an apology. He said,

“I deeply apologize to anyone that I have potentially put at risk by playing this tour, I will proceed to follow self-isolating guidelines advised by my doctors. As an added precaution, my team and I will continue with regular testing. I wish everyone who has tested positive a speedy recovery. Stay safe.”

Zverev clearly regrets the fact that he played the event but he is not the one who people are criticizing, It is Novak Djokovic. They are not happy with the fact that he conducted the event even though the number of cases is rising. And in addition to that, he did not make sure that everyone was following social distancing guidelines.

Novak has not been tested for the virus yet but he should be soon enough. He is at a greater risk as his fitness coach also tested positive for the virus. This is certainly not good news for him but there is still hope that he will test negative for the virus.

Everyone will be hoping that is exactly what happens. Also, they will be hoping that everyone who tested positive will recover soon so that they can play the US Open in August.
