The game of tennis is all about intensity, and the players have their own way to deal with it. During the Round of 32 of the 2020 Rolex Paris Masters, Greek professional Stefanos Tsitsipas had to take an emergency toilet-break. Even though he was surprised by the scene, his opponent French player Ugo Humbert made the most of the given time.
World No. 6 is often the customer of such a crisis. Two years behind at the Miami Open, Tsitsipas and the Russian Daniil Medvedev both took turns to go to the men’s room. That match ended in favor of the Russian 2-6, 6-4, 6-2.

For the next round ticket in Paris Masters, 22 years old Ugo Humbert contested against Tsitsipas. Leaving the French player alone on the court, Tsitsipas left to tend to an emergency.
After their match, Humbert said, “When he (Tsitsipas) went to the toilets, I was astonished. Just never saw that, even on television.” Currently standing at No. 34, Humbert beat Stefanos Tsitsipas 7-6 (7-4), 6-7 (6-8), 7-6 (7-3).
Tsitsipas probably visited the toilet in between the match to retain his focus. His opponent Ugo Humbert managed to do the same without having to go to the bathroom. He added, “But that was OK, it relaxed me. I could stop and drink. It wasn’t a problem.”
The defending champion of the ATP Finals has suffered two heavy defeats recently. He lost in the second round in Austria and has now exited Paris in the first round itself.
