The 26-year-old spoke on this and stated, “We all as humans have this picture in our head of what things are made to be like or what’s the perfect thing for us at that moment. I don’t think you want to chase perfection, we need to chase progress like everyday tries and get better at one thing. Keep it simple, exercise, clear you’re diet if you’re eating pretty bad. I think we need to go on without competing with anyone.”

Kyrgios believes one should not strive to be perfect but should seek to be better with each day passing by. Notably, he also spoke about the ill effects of social media.

The former Wimbledon quarterfinalist said, “You know, social media. I was a victim of that earlier on in my career. As soon as you stop comparing, you look at yourself in the mirror and just imagine that you’re yourself, be proud of that. You don’t try and be anyone else, just stop competing with anyone. Someone has that, but you have beautiful things around you that you just need to focus on, everyone’s different.”
