Conor McGregor is one of the biggest names in the fight industry, famed for his audacity and trash talk. McGregor has always done justice to his moniker “The Notorious” and proved himself once again at the MTV Video Music Awards red carpet in Brooklyn, New York. McGregor attended the event to hand over the award for “Artist of the Year” to Justin Bieber.
Even though McGregor is on a break from MMA, the fighter still manages to make it to the headlines.
The Irishman got into a scuffle with American rap artist Machine Gun Kelly. Security had to separate the two of them after they nearly got into a fistfight, according to the video. Footage has emerged in which the Irishman appears to be tossing his drink at MGK while security attempts to separate the two.

According to TMZ, Conor approached rapper MGK and asked for a picture, which the rapper refused. The rapper ended up pushing Conor, who stumbled back and spilled his drink in the process.
Conor lunged towards the rapper before being stopped by venue security, and he then attempted to hurl his drink at MGK. They escorted away the rapper and his girlfriend Megan Fox to safety during the incident.
Conor claims to not know of Machine Gun Kelly
“I only fight real fighters, I certainly don’t fight little vanilla ice white rappers, I don’t even know the guy, I just know he’s with Megan [Fox]” said Conor McGregor after the scuffle with MGK. However, according to TMZ, Conor approached rapper MGK and asked for a picture, which the rapper refused. The rapper ended up pushing Conor, who stumbled back and spilled his drink in the process.
He only claimed to know about Megan Fox, his girlfriend. Conor appears to be dissing the rapper by stating this since reports claim he asked him for a photo. He didn’t get the moniker “the Notorious” for nothing.
Following the altercation at the New York’s Barclays Center, a representative for McGregor released a statement to MMAFighting.
“Conor McGregor did not ask anyone for a picture, nor did he instigate this incident,” McGregor’s representative stated. “He does not know Machine Gun Kelly, outside of the fact that he attended Conor’s fight this past July.”

The former Irish double champion is no longer in a boot or cast after suffering a fractured leg in his UFC 264 main event against Dustin Poirier. At the red carpet event at the Barclays Center, he appeared to be walking with a stick for support but could also be seen walking without it.

“I’m rocking (and) well ahead of schedule,” McGregor told MMAJunkie. Conor continues to train despite his injuries and stays motivated to be fit and efficient. He frequently posts footage of himself at his fitness program, McGregor FAST. The Irishman seems to be healing ahead of schedule, and we can expect the fighter back in action soon.
