Former two-division champion Tony Bellew has come out and made quite the statement against Oleksandr Usyk.
Oleksandr Usyk was a huge success in the cruiserweight division. He managed to unify the entire division before he made the jump to heavyweight. He made his heavyweight debut against Tony Bellew.
That match up to Tony’s final fight. Bellew was knocked out by Usyk, as Usyk announced his arrival to the entire heavyweight division. Unfortunately, Tony Bellew has to walk out on a losing note.

The Olympic gold medal winner from Ukraine is currently the next mandatory challenger to Anthony Joshua’s throne. But before that, he’s scheduled to fight Derek Chisora. But this hasn’t found a date as of now.
Meanwhile, Anthony Joshua will face IBF’s mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev. Once they both are done with their lined up fights, they can fight it out. But Bellew doesn’t think Usyk is up to the task.
Speaking with Colin Murray’s 52 podcast Bellew said, “[Usyk’s] a brilliant fighter, People always ask me ‘how will he do as a heavyweight’ so let’s just get down to it. I think he will beat every single heavyweight out there besides two and they are the big boys.”
Can Oleksandr Usyk beat the top two?
He went on the explain his statement and said, “I Don’t think he is big enough to beat AJ and I don’t think he is big enough to beat Tyson Fury. The only thing that can beat him is size. Don’t get me wrong, when he fights AJ I think he’ll be ahead, but then I think AJ will get to him and work him down and gradually he will get there. When it comes to Tyson Fury, he just won’t be allowed to get close enough. Fury is that big.”

Tyson Fury has explicitly said he doesn’t want to face Usyk. He said, “No. Usyk ain’t on the list, he’s a no-name, no-one’s interested and it doesn’t make any money. So what would I wanna fight him for? He’s a small cruiserweight, foreigner, don’t speak good English, and nobody’s really interested anyway, he’s not setting anything alight. I want the big fights people are interested in and that ain’t one of them.”
What do you think? Is Usyk up to the task? Will Fury eventually end up facing him?
