Anthony Joshua follows a strict moral code. He recently stepped out of it and took a shot at Deontay Wilder and the excuses he made after his loss to Tyson Fury.

Anthony Joshua is the current IBF, WBO, IBO, WBA heavyweight champion. He reclaimed these titles in his last match against Andy Ruiz Jr back in December. This match was a rematch following Joshua’s first-ever loss in June. Anthony came back for vengeance and how.

Similarly, Deontay Wilder has triggered his rematch clause against Tyson Fury following his loss this February. The second match saw Fury absolutely dominate Wilder. He dropped wilder on several occasions. And eventually, forced Deontay Wilder’s team to throw in the towel in the 7th round. This victory gave Fury the WBC, The Ring magazine and lineal titles.

Wilder had an odd excuse for his loss. He blamed the costume he wore while he walked into the fight for his loss. The costume supposedly weighed approximately 40 pounds and took the life out of his legs. This is why he seemed slower and wasn’t his 100 percent during the bout. Leading to Tyson’s victory.

Anthony Joshua throws shade!

Anthony Joshua at the time didn’t pass comments on this, because he doesn’t believe in beating a man who’s already down. But Joshua now bringing up the situation said, “Oh yeah, oh yeah. I went into my drawer and pulled out my long list of things to say, I’ve got a lot of things to say about Wilder. But you don’t knock a man when he’s down, also. And that was at the top of the list. I have to stand by those principles.”

Joshua continued, “But for sure, I think me and Wilder, as I say, are cut from a different cloth. He’s what we call… it begins with a ‘b’ and ends with an ‘h’. I’m not like that, I’m more of a man. I don’t really get on the internet talking crap. The only times you’ve seen me talking recklessly is against Dillian Whyte and Jarrell Miller. Other than that I’m an ambassador of the sport. I’m trying to be clean, representing my sponsorships, represent DAZN properly, I try to stay away from the typical stereotype of a heavyweight boxer. It’s difficult but I have it in me to fire up and talk recklessly when needed.”

Anthony Joshua as we know him isn’t the kind to go out and take obscene shots at his colleagues. What do you think made him do take this one?
