At just 21, Chloe Kim is ready to nail the Beijing Winter Olympics. She is busy preparing for her 2nd Olympic games and is among the favorites to win the halfpipe gold.

After her first Olympic medal though, Kim decided to take a break for a while and join college. She is a student of Princeton University. And now it turns out to be a really good change for the athlete.

Recently on ‘The Tonight Show’, Kim revealed how much she liked going to school and also how much she loved it. She also revealed that she actually wants to pursue fashion as a degree.

I really wanted to do that: Chloe Kim
After the 2018 Winter Olympics, Kim decided to join college. In 2019, Kim joined Princeton University. This was a really good change for her, as she made a lot of new friends and the experience was good.

During the Jimmy Fallon show, when asked about her honors degree, Chloe appeared a bit confused between several degrees. But then, she revealed that she was actually interested in pursuing fashion when Fellon suggested it.
“That’s what I wanna do. I really wanna do that. I just don’t even know where to start,” said Kim.

She also added that she actually designed a snow collection with the brand Roxy, displaying her actual skills in fashion. However, she was just really confused about where to get started with it.

“Yea, I just don’t even know where to start. I actually made my own snow collection with Roxy, which was such a fun experience and it really inspired me to maybe go and do it.”
Additionally, she added that she had just recently revealed all her Olympic gear, and couldn’t wait to do a full runway show in her house itself. This also shows that Chloe Kim is actually interested in fashion.

School was a great change for Kim
During the Olympics, she faced a lot of pressure and stress which took a toll on her. Even after she became the champion, she was under duress and wasn’t really happy from her heart. The pressure and expectations were a little too much to bear for the then 17-year-old.
Therefore, the school was a great opportunity for her to experience something different. Even though it had its own trials and tribulations, it was a big change from her daily hectic schedule.

“School is such an awesome experience, I had so much fun. It was just nice to like, chill and not be sore every day. That was the first thing I noticed, ‘I had a very eventful day and I am not sore’,” said Kim.

Chloe Kim was just happy that she wasn’t sore from every day’s training. She just wanted to lead the life of a normal college-going kid.
