The Jon Jones versus Stipe Miocic saga is continuing for a long time. There seems to be no clarity on the status of the fight as the fans eagerly wait to see the two heavyweights inside the octagon. After statements from both fighters along with Dana White, former rivals such as Daniel Cormier have also chipped in with their take on the subject. Most recently, Henry Cejudo has made a statement regarding the fight.
The fight is proposed to happen during international fight week. However, both fighters have come up with their story as to the problems regarding the negotiations of the fight as Cejudo provides his take.
Henry Cejudo throws in his two cents on Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic’s fight

‘Triple C’ spoke about Jones and Miocic going head to head in his recent podcast. The former double champion provided his take on the contract situations between the two heavyweights. According to Cejudo, Jones would want a little more money as this could be his last fight, and wants to cash in big.
Cejudo said, “Would hit that Jon Jones plotting. Does he want a little more or cash moolah. I don’t blame him”. Furthermore, while revealing his own status with the UFC, “You know I love the UFC. You know I just renegotiate my contract you know. I got a nice little paycheck but Jon also knows that there may be an opportunity for him to get a little more. A little more dinero, little more cash…” Cejudo speaks with confidence regarding Jones’ gameplan having trained him for his last fight.
Conversely, Daniel Cormier said that there might be an issue on Stipe Mioicic’s side pertaining to a fight against Jon Jones. However, the fight at international fight week is important in the eyes of Cejudo.

The former UFC double champion states that he does not blame Jones for asking for more money. Cejudo added that even with all the different championship fights on the UFC PPV card during the international fight week, Jones is a bigger draw.

Additionally, ‘Triple C’ added that UFC will be looking to change their route and maybe accommodate Jones’ conditions as the fight takes place at Madison Square Garden in what could be his retirement fight. Lastly, Cejudo added, “Jones is a businessman”.
