Those who are regular followers of the streaming circuit might know of the popular streamer xQc. The popular Twitch personality is currently popular for being on the ‘Rust’ bandwagon and majorly Fortnite. However, his claim to fame was the FPS-RPG hybrid title, Overwatch.

He walked away from the then popular multiplayer title following numerous controversies, and eventually, the popularity of Overwatch died out as well. Recently, xQc spoke at length on his stream about why he does not play Overwatch anymore. And to be frank, his reasons do make a lot of sense.

Many players currently believe that the emergence of a whole new roster of multiplayer titles has made OW take a back seat in terms of popularity, especially with the arrival of Valorant in the tactical FPS scene.

Xqc says that the game is not competitive when he plays it, which takes all the fun out of it. Most players who join him in the lobby try to associate with his name as a quick way to garner some attention; be it on his side or the opponent’s side.

Being a former Overwatch pro, it is understandable how the lack of a competitive environment in the game hurts him.
