The Coronavirus pandemic has affected sports stars and fans alike. The world is under lockdown with self-isolation being the norm. Heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua too is following the rules and staying home. He had a chat with iFL TV and shared his take on the lockdown.

‘AJ’ was asked who he would like to see after the lockdown ends. He surprisingly said no one and chuckled before going on to explain himself.

“Its obviously boring and stuff, but the world needs it. It’s moving so fast in this day and age. It’s like you let go of the world you cant get back on. So you just do whatever you can to stay latched onto what’s moving,” says Joshua.
AJ hopes he can maintain this pace post the lockdown too and added reiterates the claim about not wanting to see anyone. “I’m not in a rush to see anyone because sometimes your elevation requires your isolation.”
He says it is nice to have time for oneself as it is always about giving out. Paying bills, looking at social media and giving out to others.
‘AJ’ says he can’t remember the last few years of his life
Fans used the opportunity to put for questions to ‘AJ.’ The boxer shared anecdotes from his days before boxing. He added he’s trying to bring back those days as the last few years of his life are a blur.

“The last 7-8 years of my life, I can’t even remember half of it. It’s just been like nonstop,” says Joshua who is making the most of the lockdown to just relax.
‘AJ’ won the Olympic Gold for Great Britain at the 2012 Olympics. A year later he turned professional. It has been a non-stop journey for him as he established himself as one of the biggest names in the boxing world since his debut. With the lockdown, he has an ample amount of time to pursue the things he loves doing apart from boxing.
The Coronavirus has impacted Anthony Joshua’s mandatory title defense. He was due to compete against Kubrat Pulev on June 20 at London’s Tottenham Hotspurs stadium. The fight will be held later on in the year with Sportsmail saying Eddie Hearn has agreed on a provisional date of July 25th.
