Chung will now face the winner between Novak Djokovic and Albert Ramos Vinolas. The South Korean took five sets to beat the German, winning the 2nd, 4th and 5th sets. Sascha may be ranked higher, but prior to this match, Hyeon was already leading their H2H 1-0. Now, it's 2-0. Hyeon Chung is a talented player. He deserved this win. He did not get lucky. He knows how to beat Sascha. It's not really an upset, if you look at history, not rankings.

So impressed with Hyeon Chung! He retrieved shots that seemed impossible and turned them around to win the points! Amazing! #ausopen

Kind of a crazy stat: Alexander Zverev became only the sixth top-five seed in the Open era to get bageled in the fifth set of ANY major, when he was knocked out by Hyeon Chung on Saturday.

My Aussie Open dream is that one day Hyeon Chung will be presented with the trophy by the man from Kia Motors. Massive win for the talented Korean over No. 4 seed Zverev.

Hyeon Chung is absolutely on fire. His career trajectory has not been as steep as Zverev's over the last few years but man he's making a huge statement today.

Hyeon Chung, take a bow. Legend in the making. #Chung #Zverev needs to go home and contemplate why he automatically feels he deserves success when the others work just as hard and are much more humble and appreciative of what they achieve #AusOpen #AustralianOpen

Hyeon Chung beats Sascha Zverev in 5 sets. Who cares when the german got more potential when he always snaps in important moments? Sympathy is also not his passion. #ausopen
