Why is Galactus behind the Fortnite island?

The Zero point in the center of the Fortnite island has always been a bone of contention. Since Season 1, several characters have tried to harness its energy and failed to do so. Apparently, the gigantic explosion that consumed the entire island at the end of Chapter 1 caught Galactus’s attention. As a result, he is gradually making his way to the island.

After traveling for almost a year, Galactus is closer than ever and only the Marvel superheroes are capable enough to stop him. Tony Stark a.k.a. Iron Man is trying his best to bring more heroes to the island and raise a vehement defense.

Iron Man has been changing the battle bus since his arrival, and some theories suggest that players might have to use them in the live event. Also, the S.H.I.E.L.D.’s hellicarrier might play a major role in assisting the players in their battle against Galactus.

According to some fan theories, the loading screen for the Fortnite Nexus War teases seven bright stars in the sky. These seven stars might be The Seven from the end of Chapter 1. All these characters, along with the Fortnite community, have a common goal of defeating Galactus.

Ali-A believes that there are two possible outcomes of the event. Either Galactus loses and normalcy returns on the island or Galactus wins and ends up destroying the Fortnite island. However, it is unlikely that the developers will introduce a new Fortnite chapter, with just four seasons in the current chapter.
