Kobe Bryant, retired NBA star, died in a helicopter crash near Calabasas, Calif. Nine people have been reported to have died in the crash, which also included Kobe Bryant’s daughter, Gianna Bryant.
A basketball coach, along with his daughter also lost their lives in the deadly accident.
Kobe Bryant has been widely regarded as one of the most legendary figures of not only the NBA but also world sports. People are mourning over his death, which also includes the footballing world.

It has been reported that Kobe was headed towards the Mamba Sports Academy, where he coached his daughter’s team. The Academy is said to be hosting a tournament for basketball teams from third grade to eighth grade.
After the sad news of Kobe Bryant’s demise reached the Mamba Sports Academy all the matched and event scheduled that day were cancelled.
Sadly the authorities reported that it could take several days to recover the body. As the area of the crash has been described as “very rough terrain”.
The chief medical examiner for Los Angeles County, Dr Jonathan R. Lucas was quoted saying, “We will be doing our work thoroughly, quickly and with the utmost compassion,
“We’re doing everything we can to confirm identifications and give closure to the families involved.”
