The current British No.1 Dan Evans has expressed his views about forming a Men’s Players Union. Evans has criticized the idea of the players association and strongly asserted that he won’t be signing the sheet of paper.
Evans who lost his second-round match to Milos Raonic at the Western and Southern Open 2020 said “Now is horrible timing to be talking about that sort of thing. For what it’s worth, I think the ATP do a great job for us and I won’t be signing the sheet of paper they want.”

The Davis cup champion, Dan Evans spoke about having a conversation with a player in the locker room about the players union. The Englishman feels there are bad feelings on both sides.
“I had a conversation yesterday with someone in the changing room, and I played devil’s advocate on the ATP side,” Evans said during an interview. The World No.28 Evans believes it is the signing of a paper that doesn’t stand for much. Fellow countryman, Andy Murray, has also expressed his reservations regarding the formation of the association. The 3-time grand slam champion Murray feels we should give the current management more time to implement their vision.
Evans is scheduled to play the Brazilian Thiago Wild in his opening round match at the US Open 2020. Dan is seeded No.23 and hasn’t gone past the third round at US Open.
