John Cena made his return to the ring after almost a year. He took on Bray Wyatt in a bizarre Firefly fun house match. The match had admirers from all quarters. Daniel Cormier was one of the people who caught the match and had immense praise for the Cenation leader. He wrote, “Hollywood Cena is absolutely everything!”

The match saw Cena and Wyatt travel through time. In the skits, Cena revisited his debut, his “doctor of thugganomics” days as well as WrestleMania 30, where he faced Bray Wyatt’s “Eater of Worlds” character.

However, the skit where Cena played a Hollywood version of himself caught people’s attention. It seemed like Cena was cosplaying Hulk Hogan’s Hollywood character from the NWO. The skit was a take on how the defunct wrestling company WCW constantly roped in film stars. One of the productions infamous moments was crowning David Arquette their World Champion.

The WWE Universe was divided over the match. Some liked the cinematic features, as the match did not suffer due to an empty arena. Former UFC Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier was all praise for the 16 time WWE Champion.

Cena lost the match and pleased fans who claim he should have “put Wyatt over” 6 years ago. His program with Wyatt ended with the loss. It remains to be seen when he will return to the WWE.

WrestleMania also saw former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar drop the WWE title to Drew McIntyre. John Cena’s next film Fast and Furious 9 is postponed by a year due to Coronavirus pandemic. He is set to return to the sidelines until the WWE’s next marquee event.

Meanwhile, Daniel Cormier had an eventful Monday as it was revealed that he had been duped by a fake “Ariel Helvani” tweet. He failed to notice the misspelling in the name. However, he was not alone though as UFC President Dana White too fell for the fake account.

The latest reports state that UFC 249 will go ahead with Tony Ferguson taking on Justin Gaethje for the Interim Lightweight Championship.
