Core elements of Hitman 3 gameplay

The latest installment will take players to exotic sandbox locations in an adventure across the globe, providing a dramatic conclusion to the World of Assassination trilogy. Hitman 3 will feature six locations, and players can access all of them at launch. So far, the developer has only announced one location, which is also the game’s starting location.

The location is Dubai, where players will be able to surmount the tallest skyscraper in the world while playing as Agent 47, according to the community leads. Those who have purchased 2016’s Hitman and 2018’s Hitman 2, can import all the previous locations into Hitman 3. Moreover, owners of Hitman 2 will have the option to carry over progression along with unlocked items.

Apart from access to sandbox locations, the developers have also stressed on freedom of choice. Players can manipulate the levels by picking a disguise, using items they found as weapons, or to cause distractions, etc. There are puzzles to figure out, places to explore, and everything is encapsulated in a visually stunning experience.

Some other details and the cast

We already know Agent 47 is returning as the ruthless professional he is. This time, he will embark on a journey while undertaking the most important contracts of his entire career. His ultimate goal is to eliminate the partners of Providence. The community leads stated the tone of Hitman 3 is “a lot more mature, a lot more serious and darker”. The black-themed key art, the trailer, and the “Death Awaits” tagline exhibit a darker plot for the final chapter.

Despite all that, the game will retain the vital elements of humor, like previous Hitman titles. The developers have established a close link between the narrative, cutscenes, and sandbox gameplay. IO Interactive also unveiled the main cast for Hitman 3 during the monthly episode. David Bateson is the voice actor for Agent 47, Jane Perry for Diana Burnwood, John Hopkins for Lucas Grey, Philip Rosch for The Constant, and Isaura Barbe-Brown voices Olivia Hall.

Apart from the main cast, the final chapter of the trilogy will also feature several targets, NPCs, and other characters. Although the studio has not revealed any gameplay yet, fans can expect to see more cinematics, as well as gameplay, in the coming months. Hitman 3 is set to release in January 2021 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC. Those interested can check out the full episode of IOI Monthly by clicking here.
