Talk about making a name for yourself on the biggest stage! The Under Armour All-America Game had fans buzzing Thursday night as the nation’s top high school talents duked it out under the bright lights. But one star shone brighter than the rest—Duncanville’s Dakorien Moore. The 5-star wide receiver and Oregon Ducks signee balled out, earning MVP honor and an inspiring nod from probably his idol himself with his dazzling display of skill and swagger. Make those two; one might be the biggest in the NFL this season.

If you didn’t already know why Dakorien Moore is the No. 1 wide receiver in the nation, his performance left no room for doubt. The Oregon Ducks signee made the field look like his personal playground, torching defenders with the kind of speed and agility that scouts dream of. As if being named MVP wasn’t sweet enough, Dakorien Moore received a gift that will have fans green with envy: a signed jersey from none other than Minnesota Vikings superstar, WR1, Justin Jefferson.

Yes, the NFL’s frontrunner in the ‘Best WR on the Planet’ debate took time to honor the next generation of gridiron greatness and the WR1 in the nation. The Vikings beat writer who shared the moment on X couldn’t resist stoking the fire in the JJ vs. Bengals’ Ja’Marr Chase rivalry, quipping, “MVP of the UA All American Game, Dakorien Moore, gifted a signed Justin Jefferson jersey. Notice how it isn’t Ja’marr Chase? #skol.” Shots fired.

This gesture from Justin Jefferson is more than just a keepsake. Even after being locked in with a duel against the triple-crown Chase for the NFL’s WR1 title, he took out the time to pass the torch. Already committed to the Ducks’ Class of 2025, Moore is born ready to receive all the throws for Dan Lanning at Eugene. Although this is not the first time under the spotlight for the 5 ft 11, 182 pound, Duncanville high’s standout.

Instead, his journey to superstardom has been anything but quiet. Just days before his MVP performance, he turned heads at the Texas Class 6A Division I state semifinals, where another legendary NFL receiver and Cowboys legend, Dez Bryant, was among the spectators. “Crazy s—!” Bryant exclaimed after seeing Moore’s highlights. Indeed, a raw and unfiltered reaction that perfectly captured the awe surrounding the young wideout. Whether it’s high school playoffs or national all-star games, Moore has a knack for stealing the show and adding new fans, especially from the NFL.

The Ducks’ 2025 recruiting class is shaping up to be one for the ages, and Moore is the crown jewel. This 17-year-old former LSU commit is a serious threat. He’s deadly whether he’s going deep or making plays in open space. He’s exactly the kind of player Oregon’s high-flying offense needs—the kind that keeps defenses on their toes. And with Oregon gunning for a return to CFP glory next season after a tough loss to the Buckeyes, Moore’s arrival couldn’t come at a better time.

Talk about today’s game. Well, Team Icon took down Team Unstoppable 31-19 in the 2025 UA Next All-American Game. The gleaming question becomes, which team was our MVP on?

Considering his hands and on-field Superman activities, Dak is both. No surprise he walked away with the MVP. Today, he was absolutely on fire for Team Icon.

Moore, the nation’s top-rated wide receiver and No. 8 player in the Top247, gave fans a jaw-dropping reminder of why he’s one of the most electric athletes in the country. His 83-yard punt return for a touchdown not only opened the scoring but also landed in the record books as the third-longest punt return in UA Game history. That’s one way to announce yourself.

But Moore wasn’t done there. By the time the dust settled, he had racked up 136 all-purpose yards, good enough for the eighth most in the game’s history. He made Ducks fans everywhere do a happy dance, at least for today, with his speed, explosiveness, and knack for the big play. To add to his glory, when the game ended and the lights dimmed, Moore walked off the field clutching the MVP trophy in one hand and Justin Jefferson’s jersey in the other. Baller!
