That’s how contagious fame is! At present, Colorado Buffaloes dual threat Travis Hunter has been soaking in all the attention of being the center of the Heisman hype. But he is not the only reason for the Hunter fam to be on cloud nine. Travis’ younger brother, sophomore Trayvis Hunter, is turning heads with his athletic power on the field.
He is beginning his own football legacy at Effingham County (Springfield, Ga.). And mother Ferrante Harris couldn’t be any prouder. Looks like the little one, Trayvis has already created a strong fanbase in Boulder.

It’s quite normal to get overshadowed by fame if you are the brother of someone like Travis Hunter. Deion’s favorite two-way phenom has been the talk of the town for putting his Heisman hopes back on track after the win against Texas Tech. But looks like his lil bro, Trayvis too has figured out a way to follow in his elder sibling’s footsteps. Heading into the Class AAAAA state playoff game against East Paulding (Dallas), the sophomore has had 36 receptions for 496 yards and six touchdowns. Maybe that’s something their mother would remember all through her life. It’s such a happy feeling, after all, that she took to IG to re-share the MaxPreps post with the caption, “Proud Mother 🔥🔥🔥🔥.”

Even on the post, Ferrante commented, “Look at my Boys 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 I’m a proud Mother 😘.” Initially, Trayvis was at Collins High (Suwanee) before moving to Effingham County and helped the Rebels secure a spot in the postseason with a 6-4 record. In 2024, his best feat came in mid-October when he reeled in six passes for 159 yards and two touchdowns in a 37-7 win over Greenbrier (Evans). Is it reminding you of something?

How Trayvis Hunter stacks up against Travis Hunter’s early years?
What’s your perspective on:
With Travis and Trayvis Hunter on the rise, is this the start of a new football dynasty?
Have an interesting take?
Trayvis is all set to fill in his brother’s shoes. However, he has a long way to go. Older bro Travis also began to break out as a sophomore in 2019. His stats were too impressive as a young chap as the Buffs’ dual-threat recorded 919 receiving yards at Collins Hill. Travis even bagged the MaxPreps National Junior of the Year honors in 2020 after finishing 272 receptions for 3,963 yards and 48 touchdowns! So does that mean Deion can now count on his brother?
This season marks the last chapter of Travis in college. He would be soon away to the NFL and would leave an empty seat behind. Even though his lil sibling has a still long way to go before entering college football, the reactions have already started to pour in Trayvis’ favor.
